Worship With Us
Sunday Mornings

It doesn’t matter who you are or what your background is, you belong at Union Creek. There’s no dress code or any other prerequisite before visiting on Sunday. During a service we’ll spend time singing, praying, learning from God’s Word, and connecting with one another. We can’t wait to meet you!

WHAT TO EXPECT

What are services like?

Worship at Union Creek is meaningful and down-to-earth. Each Sunday, we gather to hear God’s Word through Scripture and receive His grace through Holy Communion. We respond with gratitude through prayer, singing, and fellowship. Our services are:
  • Liturgical: We follow a regular pattern of worship rooted in Lutheran traditions. The service includes readings from scripture, prayers, hymns, and collective participation of our congregation in worship.
  • Contemporary: Don’t worry, it’s not stuffy. The Gospel is alive and relevant, and you’ll hear God’s Word taught in a way that speaks to life today.

If You’re New to This Style of Worship...
You might miss a cue or two your first time. That’s okay. Think of it like your first football game or square dance, you’ll catch on as you go. Our bulletin does a great job of leading you step-by-step through the service, but if you need help, just ask! Folks here are more than happy to show you the ropes.

The best part? Once you get the hang of the flow, it stays pretty consistent week to week, anchoring you in a way of worship that connects believers across time and across the globe.

Services usually last about 60 minutes.

What should I wear?

Come in whatever you're most comfortable in! There’s no dress code, no need to look a certain way, and no need to have it all figured out. We're happy to have you fresh off the tractor in overalls or dressed in your Sunday best.

What about my kids?

Children are always welcome at Union Creek. We believe worship is for the whole family, not just the grown-ups. Don’t worry if your little one gets the wiggles or makes a bit of noise. It means they’re learning what it looks like to be part of a church family.

Our services include a children's sermon and some Sundays have a Noisy Offering collected by the youth. For younger children who might find it hard to stay engaged the whole time, we offer activity bags and special children’s bulletins to help them follow along in their own way. Just grab one on your way in, or ask a greeter. We’re happy to help!

Can I take communion?

Yes! At Union Creek, all are welcome to the Lord’s Table.

We believe that Holy Communion is a gift of grace where we receive the true body and blood of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins and the strengthening of our faith. You don’t have to be a member of our church to participate. If you believe in Jesus and trust in His promises, you are welcome to receive.

Grape juice is available for those who prefer not to receive wine, just indicate your preference at the rail.

Children (or anyone) are welcome to come forward with you for a blessing.

If you have any questions before the service, please ask! We’re always happy to talk more about this meaningful part of our faith.

Is the church accessible?

Yes! Our building is fully accessible, with both floors designed to accommodate individuals with mobility needs.

We recently upgraded our exterior ramp to make entering the church even easier for everyone. Whether you use a wheelchair, walker, or simply prefer to avoid stairs, you’ll find it easy to get around and feel right at home here.

If you need any assistance when you arrive, we are always happy to help!

Becoming a member at Union Creek is simple, and it starts with showing up.

If you’ve attended at least one service and feel like this is the right place for you, we’d love to officially welcome you into the church family. Just let the pastor or one of our leaders know you’re interested in joining. We’ll set up a time to talk more about what it means to be a member and answer any questions you have.

Whether you're transferring from another church, getting confirmed, or joining for the first time, we’ll walk with you every step of the way.

And know that, member or not, there is always an open invitation to grow in faith and community with us.
